Our gardens are filled with a myriad of trees, shrubs, vines, grasses and flowers necessary for the survival of pollinating insects and birds.

Butterflies are in abundance because of the many host plants that are allowed to self seed and the nectar rich plantings that naturalize and thrive here.

Our bird population offers abundant food sources of insects available in our naturalized meadow and our chemical-free environment. Both old and new hedgerows provide safe nesting sites for them.

Field grass paths predominate the area and weave throughout the entire 5 acres.

We practice different methods of composting strategies including sheet mulching, lasagna gardening, bin composting. There is a Hugelkultur berm (Permaculture technique) located near the parking area.

Reduce, reuse and recycle are also words we live by. We find uses for cast off items and spare them from landfills by using them as garden art. All of our newspaper and cardboard are recycled on site into our sheet mulching beds. Organic wastes are composted and returned to feed the soil life.

Pruned branches and vines are turned into craft items and trellis material. Herbs, botanicals and veggies are used in teas, syrups, and fresh bouquets.
